Schedules Types define when and how content should be delivered to your signs. We will cover the various Schedule Types and when it is appropriate to use each.

Default -
The Default schedule type should be used for content that you want to display when nothing else is scheduled to your sign. Think of it almost like a screen saver slideshow or generic content that you want to show that is always relevant. You may have a Welcome message or image to display to your customers/guests set as a Default Schedule. Any other schedules assigned to your sign, will override the Default Schedule, and it will not display again until the other schedule(s) are finished.

Continuous -
The Continuous schedule type is the most common type of schedule that is used to send content to your signs, and is recommended for getting started. The Continuous schedule will play content from the Start Time and Date, until the End Time and Date. For example, if you were to set a Start Date and Time of tomorrow at 10am, and an End Date and Time for two weeks later at 11am, your content in that schedule would plan on the signs you selected continuously from 10am tomorrow morning, until 11am two weeks from now without interruption. Schedules can overlap and the content will be mixed from the schedules that overlap.

Daily -

The Daily schedule type should be use when you only want to show content during specific times every day. For example lets say you had breakfast schedules you wanted to show, a Daily schedule with a Start Date of tomorrow and an End date of 1 year from now and a Start Time of 8am, and an End Time of 11am would show the schedule every day from 8am until 11am for the next year.

Weekly -

The Weekly schedule type should be used when you want to show content only on certain days of the week. When you select the Weekly schedule type, you should have an option to select which days of the week you would like your content to play. For example, if you wanted to display your content on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 8am until 11am on those days from now through the end of the year, you would choose the Weekly schedule type and check Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Then you would pick a Start Date of today, and Start Time of 8am, and and End Date of the end of the year, and End Time of 11am. This would play your content every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am until 11am through the end of the year.

Yearly -

The Yearly schedule type should be used when you want to show content from a given Start Time, until a given End Time on a certain date every year. This schedule type is popular for holidays and birthdays. For example, lets say we wanted to show an Independence Day slide on our signs every Independence Day. We would create a schedule with a Start Date of July 4th this year, with a Start Time of 12am and an End Time of 12am. We would then set the End Date to 5 years from now. For the next 5 years, our Independence Day schedule should play all day every July 4th.
