Schedules or Playlists

Schedules empower you to choose what you want to display, when you want to display it and what signs to show it on.

Schedules(or you can think of them like playlists) help you to control your content across your signs when you want it to play. They are made up of primarily 3 parts: When, What, and Where. The video below will cover how you can create and schedule content to your signs.

If you only have a sign linked to your account, a schedule will be created automatically for you once you save your first Slide. You can access your Schedules, or create new ones through the main dashboard page, or by going to the My Schedules Tab on the left hand side of your dashboard.

From there you can see a list of all of your schedules, or create a new one by clicking the Add button in the upper right hand corner.

Once you add or edit a schedule you will be asked, When you would like to show your content, Where you would like to show your content, and What(slides) content you would like to show.

When -ย

Choose a Name for your schedule and pick a Schedule Type, as well as a Start Time and End Time. For the example below we are naming our schedule - 'My First Schedule', but try and choose a name that will help you identify what content it contains.

Take a look at the Schedule Type page as the Start and End dates and times for you content will differ based on the Schedule Type you choose. For example, if you choose a schedule type of Daily, the content will play every day from the start time until the end time, and if you choose Weekly, it will only play from the start time until the end time on the days that you choose.

Shuffle Mode

The Shuffle Mode will determine how the slides in your schedule will mix with slides in other schedules. There are 3 Shuffle Modes:

Do Not Mix (Default):

If multiple schedules are assigned to a sign at the same time, the Do Not Mix schedule type will play all of the slides in one schedule, then play all of the slides in the next overlapping schedule in the order they exist in in each schedule back to back.

Shuffle:

If multiple schedules are assigned to a sign at the same time, the Shuffle schedule type will randomly shuffle the slides between all of the overlapping schedules and play them in a random order as one shuffled playlist that loops.

Intersperse:

If multiple schedules are assigned to a sign at the same time, the Intersperse schedule type will play one slide from the first schedule, then one slide from the second and so on until all of the slides are played, and then start over. If there are fewer slides in one schedule, the gaps in the schedule with more slides will be filled with slides from the schedule with fewer. For example if there is a schedule with 10 slides and a schedule with 1 slide scheduled at the same time, the schedule with the 10 slides will show the single slide from the other schedule after each slide.

Override Schedules

The override option allows you to interrupt other schedules with an override schedule during the time frame you specify.

This is useful if you would like to interrupt all other content playing and only play a certain schedule during a given time frame. Simply enable the Override other Schedules option and while the particular schedule is active, it will only show content for that schedule.

Where -

Choose where you would like to show your content. Select each Sign you would like to show your content on for the time selected in the previous step. All of your Signs for your company should be listed here. Toggle the switch to green to select the sign to play your content on and choose Next to select the slides you would like to play on the signs you selected.

What -

Choose what slides you would like to send to the Sign(s) you selected in the previous step, using the + Add Slides button in the top right hand corner.
โ€‹

This will bring up a window with all of your slides. You can browse through to find the slides you would like to show on the sign. For each slide you would like to add, you can click it and click the Add button.

Once you add a Slide, you can specify the Transition(animated movement to the next slide) it should have, as well as the Duration that the slide should show for before advancing to the next Slide. Do this for all of the slides you would like to add.

Once you have selected all of the slides you want to show on your sign for the scheduled time, you can click on the Done button in the lower right hand corner. Your slides should now appear in a list(a playlist), which you can drag to re-arrange the order if you would like. The slides will play in the order you specify here.

And finally now that you have specified When, Where and What you would like to play in your schedule, you can click on the Finish button in the lower right hand corner to finish saving your schedule.

Your new schedule should now show up in the My Schedules page, as well under the schedules for each sign that you enabled in the Where portion of the schedule. You can preview each schedule by clicking on the Preview button for it. If the schedule is active, the slides should immediately start playing on the signs that you choose in your schedule.
