Calendar

Put a beautiful, fully editable calendar on your digital sign or screen. The Calendar app gives you a monthly grid or a weekly list that you type on directly — double-click any day, write your events, and style everything to match your brand.

This calendar is yours to fill in: it isn't connected to Google, Outlook, or any account, which makes it perfect for lunch menus, activity schedules, class timetables, event lineups, and anything else you plan by hand. Nothing changes on screen until you change it.

Adding a Calendar to a slide

  1. In the slide editor, open Apps and choose Calendar.

  2. Pick your options:

    • Month — January through December. It starts on the current month for you.

    • ViewMonthly or Weekly.

    • Week of month — this option appears when you choose Weekly; pick which week (1–6) to show. Week 1 is the week containing the 1st of the month.

  3. Add it to the slide, then move and resize it like any other element.

The calendar lays out the chosen month of the current year automatically — correct day-of-week alignment, correct number of days. You can change any option later: select the calendar and open its settings.

Monthly grid or weekly list

Monthly is the classic Sunday-to-Saturday grid — the whole month at a glance, day names across the top, a numbered cell for each date. Days that belong to the previous or next month appear dimmed, and only the month's own days can be typed on.

Weekly shows one week as a vertical list, with the day and date on the left and a full row of writing space beside each day. This view gives every day far more room — ideal for daily menus or schedules with longer descriptions.

Typing your events

  1. Double-click any day on the calendar.

  2. Type your event text right in place — press Enter for multiple lines.

  3. Click anywhere outside the day to finish.

To change an event later, double-click the day and edit the text. To remove one, double-click and delete the text. While you're typing, your keyboard belongs to the text — pressing Delete removes characters, not the calendar element.

When you're happy, save the slide. Your events are stored with it and appear on your screens exactly as you typed them.

A few tips:

  • Keep entries short in the Monthly view — a few words per day reads best from a distance. Switch to Weekly when days need more detail.

  • Typing works in the slide editor only. On your screens, the calendar simply displays what you saved.

Styling

The calendar is built to be styled. With the element selected:

  • Event Text, Day Names, and Date Numbers each have their own font setting — typeface, size, weight, and color, all independent.

  • Background sets the calendar's fill from the top bar.

  • Border does double duty: besides outlining the element, the calendar's internal grid lines adopt your border color — set a brand color and the whole grid follows. Clear it and the lines return to their subtle default.

  • Shadow and corner radius work like any other element.

Good to know

  • Each calendar is independent. Copy a slide or place a second calendar and its events are its own — handy for a separate calendar per location.

  • A simple monthly routine: duplicate last month's slide, switch the Month setting (the grid rebuilds itself), type the new events, and swap it into your playlist. Your styling carries over.

  • Nothing updates on its own. Because you type the events, the calendar never changes behind your back.

Troubleshooting

Double-clicking doesn't let me type Make sure you're in the slide editor — typing is an editing feature, disabled during preview and playback — and double-click directly on the day cell.

I can't type on a dimmed day Dimmed days belong to the previous or next month and aren't editable in the Monthly view. Switch the Month setting, or use the Weekly view for a week that spans two months.

My events aren't showing on the screen Save the slide after editing, and make sure the updated slide is published to your screens.

The wrong days are showing Check the Month setting — and in Weekly view, the Week of month. Week 1 is the week containing the 1st.

The text is too small to read from a distance Increase the Event Text font size in the calendar's font settings — and consider the Weekly view, which gives each day much more space.

I want a calendar that updates from Google or Outlook This app is for calendars you write yourself. For screens that mirror a live calendar account, use our Google Calendar or Office 365 Calendar apps instead.
